Which format should you choose?
- JPG – photos and scans; small files that open everywhere.
- PNG – screenshots, logos and graphics with sharp edges or transparency; lossless, but larger.
- WebP – images for websites; smaller than JPG and PNG at similar quality.
- PDF – documents and applications that must look the same on every device and printer.
- MP3 – music, podcasts and voice recordings for any player; 192 kbps is a good default.
- WAV – uncompressed audio for editing software and CDs.
Why convert in the browser?
Most online converters upload your files to their servers and send the result back. Here, the conversion runs on your own device with JavaScript and WebAssembly: private files stay private, you do not wait for uploads, and there is no limit on the number of files. The only limit is your device's memory – very large videos or hundreds of high-resolution photos need a computer with enough RAM.

Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded?
No. Every conversion runs in your browser, and your files never leave your device. That also makes the converter safe for personal documents and photos.
Is the file converter really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of files or conversions.
Can I convert many files at once?
Yes. Drop as many files as you like; they are converted one after another and can be downloaded together as a ZIP.
Which browsers are supported?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on computers and phones. A few formats depend on the browser: TIFF images can only be read by Safari, and older Safari versions cannot save WebP.
